Why move?
I move for my mental health. I'm motivated by the promise of improved focus, enhanced mood, and reduced stress - and movement rarely disappoints. Regular activity also helps expand my capacity to endure discomfort and develops my resilience in the face of stress... something all of us could use a little more of these days.

I design programs that help regular, busy people like you start moving and stay moving. I guide you in developing a unique and sustainable movement practice that is customized to accommodate your real life.
In addition to technical instruction, I’ll help you develop a stronger sense of discipline and self-accountability. This teaches you how to maintain a consistent routine and allows you to continue achieving your goals long after our work together has ended.
Maria currently leads group fitness classes at the University of Prince Edward Island
and serves as a virtual activity instructor with the Keep Your Head Up Foundation in Waterloo.
At this time, she is not accepting new 1:1 movement clients.
